Established in 1964 by Dr. Ronald Hartman, Lakewood and Los Alamitos Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Long Beach Laser Center serve the communities of both Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
As one of the longest standing ophthalmology groups in the nation, we provide a complete line of comprehensive eyecare including cataract and implant surgery, LASIK and refractive surgery, treatment for glaucoma, macular degeneration, pterygium and diabetes, as well as facial cosmetic treatments and surgery.
Our surgeons are teaching professors and participate as Clinical Research investigators for some of the latest products and technologies, including the newest generation of implantable lenses for cataract and refractive surgery.
Lakewood and Los Alamitos Eye Physicians and Surgeons is one of the few Southern California ophthalmology centers that operates its own Ambulatory Surgery Center. Our center offers a safe, convenient, high quality alternative to inpatient hospitalization. With state-of-the-art technology and monitoring , and Board Certified Anesthesiologists, our surgery center is certified by the federal Medicare program and approved by most insurance. Our skilled staff is known for exceptional knowledge and service in a friendly and caring environment. A personal Registered Nurse is assigned to each patient, accompanying them throughout their procedure. Whether you have LASIK, cataract surgery, or even facial plastic surgery or oculoplastic surgery, you know you're in good hands at our practice.
